Sophie Cabrera<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n Celebrating Service and Leadership: Hello Kiwanians,<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n As we reach the 7 1\/2 month mark in our Kiwanis year let’s take a minute to reflect on the lives that have already been touched by your service, your leadership and dedication. Every project completed, every hour you’ve volunteered is making a lasting difference in our community.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n May is membership month and when it comes to growing our membership, Division 44 Rocks! We are at 557 members, an increase of 42 since the start of the Kiwanis year on October 1, 2025. In December, I started an incentive to grow membership by offering to comp a registration to Mid-Year or DCON. Citrus Heights was the recipient in December of 2025, Lincoln in January of 2026, Orangevale\/Fair Oaks in February, Roseville in March and Sacramento Suburban in April. Great Job on membership growth!<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n With 4 months to go, this is the perfect time to build on that momentum. Reach out and share what makes your Kiwanis club special and invite others to be a part of the experience. New members bring fresh ideas, new energy, enthusiasm and most importantly additional opportunities to serve those who need us most.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n The Governor’s visit with Division 44 and Division 7 will be on Sunday, June 7, 2026 at Shriner’s Hospital. Governor Steven Geraci and First Lady Eileen Geraci will join us for lunch and a fun program. Governor Steven will host a president’s meeting from 11AM to 12PM; check in is at 11:30 and there will be a service project to benefit Shriner’s hospital. I would love to have all clubs represented at the Governor’s visit. Sign up early and make sure you have a spot.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n Mark you calendars for DCON. August 13, 2026 – August 16, 2026 in Sparks, Nevada. Registration should be open soon. If you’ve never been to a DCON or have been in the past and are thinking “been there, done that”, well, think again. Our district team has been working to make DCON both fun and informative. This will be a time for learning, fun and connecting with your fellow Kiwanians.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n We are past the 1\/2 way mark in the 2025-2026 year and I am so proud of everything you all have accomplished. Keep showing up with enthusiasm, creativity and the heart of service that defines Kiwanis.
